Brook House provides care and rehabilitative support for up to 12 male adults experiencing complex mental health needs, who have been detained under the provisions of The Mental Health Act (1983). Located in a pleasant residential area of Old Trafford, it is close to the city centre, has excellent transport links and good access to local amenities.

Our service users have high and complex mental health needs including severe and enduring mental illnesses, challenging behaviour and drug or alcohol dependency. We are well equipped to accommodate those who exhibit behaviours such as self-harm, personality disorders, dual diagnosis or have a forensic history.

Our hospital is ideally placed to work closely with the local community. Participation in community activities is actively encouraged through service user meetings and the provision of individually tailored care plans that are outcome based and address the practical, social and psychological needs of each person to enable them to live as independently as possible.

Brook House service users are supported by a multi-disciplinary team including a consultant psychiatrist and a consultant physician, registered mental health nurses, social worker, occupational therapist and experienced care support workers.

Brook House is able to facilitate this progression with the provision of supported community housing that will enable individuals to continue their journey at a pace that is determined by them.
